About The Position

This is an apprentice role that will convert to Mammography Technologist upon completion. The apprentice will work from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, at Royal Oak Hospital. Upon completion, the role will transition to a Mammography Technologist position with hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, at 35046 Woodward, Birmingham, MI. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, established in 1955, is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. It hosts 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows and is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Associates degree. Graduated from accredited Radiography program required.
• CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Must remain in good standing with ARRT Upon Hired Required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association or Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures perform diagnostic Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.
• Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection.
