About The Position

Via Christi St. Joseph is seeking a Mammography Tech to join their team. This role may involve floating to Murdock Clinic, St. Teresa Clinic, or Founders Circle Clinic. The schedule is full-time, with 3-4 days per weekend in Mammography and variable 8-hour shifts. Additionally, every other weekend will be spent in Diagnostic (x-ray) from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University. Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 Months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional mammography imaging services by accurately preparing and positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, and capturing high-quality images to ensure precise diagnostic outcomes.
  • Empower and educate patients by clearly explaining procedures and highlighting the vital role regular mammography plays in preventive breast health, fostering a supportive and reassuring environment.
  • Maintain rigorous quality and safety standards by evaluating image technical quality (density, contrast, definition), applying strict radiation safety guidelines, and ensuring flawless data submissions to PACS.
  • Champion equipment integrity and environmental care by monitoring machine functionality, reporting technical malfunctions promptly, and maintaining a clean, orderly clinical space to optimize the patient experience.
