About The Position

Sonoco is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Technician Apprentice to join their team in Forest City. This is a 4-year apprenticeship program that includes On-the-Job Training and requires the completion of an Associate's degree or certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or an equivalent program approved by Sonoco. The company is a global provider of consumer packaging, industrial products, and packaging supply chain services, with a strong emphasis on safety, motivation, hard work, and dependability. Sonoco will cover 100% of schooling costs after grants and scholarships, with a commitment for the apprentice to remain with the company for at least 3 years after obtaining their degree.

Requirements

• Must complete Associates degree/certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or equivalent program approved by Sonoco.
• Must maintain a 3.0 average during schooling.
• Course work must be completed outside normal working hours.
• Candidate must meet annual goals for competencies to be eligible for pay increases.
• Candidate must complete all elements of On-the-Job Training within 4 years.
• Safety-conscious, highly-motivated, hard-working and dependable candidates.
