About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice in the Maintenance Department you will learn how to be responsible for effectively maintaining production and facilities equipment throughout the Plant while ensuring that equipment operates at design efficiency and throughput. The apprenticeship is approximately 18 months. The training will primarily be on day shift (7:00am to 3:30pm); after successful completion of the training, you may be transferred to either second or third shift.

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• 2 years Manufacturing experience or Skill Trade
• Computer skills required.
• Must be 18 years of age to work at Teknor Apex.

Responsibilities

• Ensures shop, equipment and tools are safe to use.
• Ensures tools and equipment are maintained, in good working order and secured.
