Great opportunity to learn precision machining on Aerospace precision components. You will engage in a range of tasks and training related to CNC and manual machining.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED: Required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing: Preferred
- Basic blueprint and specifications reading ability: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge of departmental procedures, including machine operation, quality standards, and departmental goals.
- Learn blueprint reading, specifications interpretation, and mathematical concepts applicable to departmental tasks.
- Effectively communicate acquired knowledge through written assignments, interviews, and oral reports.
- Engage in assigned projects, either individual tasks to demonstrate proficiency or departmental projects for skill enhancement.
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
- Cleanliness and order in workplace, responsible to keep 5S and TPM current.
- Maintain production on machine, feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspection of own work (Visual and dimensional) with use of hand tools, gages and metrology equipment (comparator, height gages, etc.).
- Troubleshoot problems that may occur during shift
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Maintain activity record
- Deburr own part
- Basic Mathematical calculations
- First lot runs (development)
