Work will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high voltage transmission and substation electrical industry. Perform duties necessary to complete assigned task under the direct supervision of Project Supervisor. Employee should keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintain a clean work area at all times. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment. This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. The pay range is $27.69 – $46.86 per hour. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in distribution and/or transmission line work
  • Active, valid driver's license
  • Valid Class A CDL

  • Completion of line school or a recognized line program

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction, framing, and installation of Distribution, Small Transmission, and/or Substation structures, hardware, and components.
  • Climb wood and steel structures using proper climbing techniques and fall‑protection equipment.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment used in line construction.
  • Install and maintain conductors, insulators, guy wires, and grounding systems.
  • Support stringing, sagging, and tensioning operations under supervision.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with repairs on energized and de‑energized lines (within apprentice‑level restrictions).
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, staking sheets, and work orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring tools and materials are properly handled.
  • Follow all company safety rules, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training, skills development, and apprenticeship program requirements to grow within the trade.
