About The Position
Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level Jeweler Apprentices for its Field Design & Service Center Teams. Apprentices learn the business from the ground up through administrative and customer-service work, jewelry intake and tracking, polishing, quality control, and introductory jewelry repair training. A full training program supports skill development toward becoming a Bench Jeweler, with opportunities to advance from apprentice to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Candidates with basic jewelry or repair knowledge are welcome, and applicants with a passion and desire to learn the trade will also be considered. The team is dedicated to delivering a customer-first experience for custom jewelry design and repairs.
Requirements
- Customer-service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
- High standard for quality work.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and manage time.
- Varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
- Full-time work consists of a 40-hour week, with seasonal required overtime.
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Some knowledge of jewelry or jewelry repair/design preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service and interact with stores and customers.
- Complete administrative and clerical tasks.
- Photograph jewelry for intake and tracking.
- Learn the basics of jewelry repair, beginning with polishing and quality control.
- Train toward becoming a Bench Jeweler.
