Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department Labor and Delivery Labor & Delivery is a total of three units; Obstetrics Screening Room (OBSR), Obstetrics Special Care Unit (OBSCU) and Labor and Delivery (L&D). Labor and Delivery is a 15-bed unit responsible for the care for both low and high-risk moms. This unit offers both medicated and unmedicated birthing options, and our nursing staff is skilled in providing a variety of labor support techniques. We have three operating rooms and five post anesthesia care unit (PACU) bays. Additionally, we have an 8-bed triage unit and an antepartum unit. Job Summary The Nursing Apprentice, under the direct supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities. The Nursing Apprentice role allows nursing students an opportunity to enhance clinical skills in a hospital environment while still enrolled in an ADN or BSN program. The Nursing Apprentice I adheres to the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing and performance, and the ANA Code of Ethics (2015) to provide care to all patients.
