About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Fish Cutter for a full-time position. This role involves ensuring seafood cases are well-stocked, preparing and merchandising seafood products, managing inventory, and assisting customers. The company is locally owned and operated with a long history in Hawaii, committed to exceptional service, quality, and innovation.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 75 pounds
- Must successfully pass apprentice/training program (applies to apprentice only)
- Must have TB Clearance
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Nice To Haves
- Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
- Receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products
- Proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste
- Attend the service case
- Assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products
- Help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items
