About The Position
Wiginton Fire Systems is seeking motivated individuals to train as Fire Alarm Service Technicians at its West Palm Beach location. This trainee/apprentice role offers hands-on experience in fire protection. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, the apprentice will learn to service, repair, and install fire alarm systems and other fire safety equipment. The position also involves assisting with on-site service calls, developing troubleshooting and programming skills, and learning proper documentation procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Comfort working at heights and outdoors.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a background screening.
- Strong knowledge of electronics, tools, equipment, and installation procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Willingness to attend apprenticeship school and pursue state or national certifications.
