This role involves troubleshooting, inspecting, and operating power systems products with limited to no assistance. The Apprentice Field Technician will ask for occasional assistance from a Power Systems Field Technician for failure analysis and diagnosing problems for quality control. They will provide diagnoses to the Power Systems Field Service Supervisor and work towards achieving accurate estimates. The technician will utilize various tools and systems, including service manuals, operations manuals, SIS Web, and STW, to address technical issues. They will use SIS to identify necessary parts for repairs and communicate these needs with the Parts Consultant. Additionally, this role includes advising and mentoring Power Systems Technicians levels I and II, directing others on a limited basis in the absence of the supervisor, and performing all tasks according to printed procedures. The technician will also request quality control reviews from other technicians, write detailed service reports, print and save reports with work orders, and assist other technicians on large repairs. Customer interaction is key, requiring prompt and professional handling of inquiries and adherence to customer care standards. Safety is paramount, and the employee must actively advocate for and adhere to all applicable safety policies and procedures. The role may involve training and supporting corporate initiatives, working within the organization's vision, mission, and values, and performing other assigned duties. This is a safety-sensitive position.
