About The Position

Want to forge your Heavy Duty future in the Power Systems specialty? We are taking on apprentices to join our busy team in Red Deer. You will work alongside experienced Journeymen and get an introduction on engine rebuilds and generator packages among other projects.

Requirements

  • Willing to work towards Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
  • Successfully meet Finning’s educational and testing prerequisites.
  • Completion of grade 12 (not including a general equivalent diploma)
  • Meet the requirements of article 5.02 of the Alberta Collective Agreement
  • Highly motivated and mechanically inclined

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Previous Caterpillar experience and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Repair machines (engines and gen packages) and perform a variety of service oriented functions
  • Other duties will include cleaning and organizing parts, cleaning bays
