About The Position

Knight Electric is a national electrical contractor focusing on Commercial/Retail new construction and re-modernization. We are currently seeking skilled Apprentice Electricians in the Greater Byram, MS area to join our team for an upcoming electrical construction project. This is a full-time position for a project expected to last approximately 4 months and can continue with travel after if after project completion. We can hire for just the 4-month project or Complete the 4+month project and travel with us full-time. Work will begin on-site in Byram, MS. With additional projects available in surrounding states for those open to travel after project completion. Travel and Airbnb are paid along with per diem and mileage (drive time included) when working on out-of-town projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 8000+ Hours of electrician experience
• Must have experience and ability to lead small to medium size projects (2-4 electricians)
• Valid state issued Driver’s License
• When required by State Licensing entity
• Current OSHA 10 certificate
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Formal trade school or apprentice program completion preferred
• Current state Electrical Apprentice license preferred

Responsibilities

• Installs raceways, boxes, and cables
• Assist with wire pulling activities
• Installs light fixtures, devices, and cover plates
• Assists with installation of switchboards
• Installs panels, breakers, and transformers
• Connects branch circuits including terminations and panels and equipment
• Performs basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics
• Performs other related duties as required
