About The Position

This role involves preparing worksites, tools, and materials for drywall installation. The apprentice will hang drywall on walls and ceilings, cutting it to fit as needed. Responsibilities include patching drywall to ensure seamless finishes and filling any gaps. The position also requires supporting activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directed.

Requirements

• Ability to learn new skills with attention to detail
• Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment.
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt
• Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions

• Adhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and procedures

Responsibilities

• Trim rough edges from wall to maintain even joints
• Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into specified position
• Measure and mark cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim
• Install blanket insulation in-between studs and tack plastic moisture barrier over insulation
• Remove plaster, drywall or paneling
• Understand and use basic hand tools
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
• Support activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directed
