The Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic works under the supervision of Production Manager / Crew Chief to learn and perform tasks related to maintaining and repairing aircraft.

Requirements

  • Must have completed a Transport Canada-Approved AME basic training program
  • Valid Canadian Driver’s License with no restrictions
  • Able to acquire and maintain Transport Canada security clearance (RAIC)
  • Able to acquire and maintain Airside Vehicle Operator Permit-AVOP
  • Have a strong knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and trainability
  • Respectful and professional, with a positive work attitude
  • Effective listening and communication skills: Coordinating with team members and departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting constraining deadlines
  • Able to work well independently and as well within a team environment
  • Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
  • Must possess strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Proven time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on King Air, Pilatus PC12, Pilatus PC24, and Citation 560 aircraft type
  • Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft
  • Support the inspection, servicing, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues under supervision
  • Ensure proper use of tools, manuals, and safety procedures during maintenance tasks
  • Complying with safety and regulatory standards in all work operations
  • Duties as assigned by Production Manager or Crew Chief
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety
  • Aircraft Grooming and Cleaning when required
