Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Appraiser II performs responsible technical work in measuring, classifying, gathering data, recording and sketching to scale real estate improvements to include residential, commercial, agricultural, and personal properties. The employee in this position is responsible for appraisal decisions such as, depreciation of quality of construction, statistical analysis in determining land values and neighborhood assignments as well as performing the validation of sales according to well-defined procedures, rules and guidelines. The Appraiser I is also involved with decisions of final value and will provide documentation and justification of value at various hearing levels. The employee must have knowledge of the computer system and how to integrate the analysis in the system for listing and valuation of residential properties.
