Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED, at least one year of experience in the Mortgage industry and at least 2 years clerical experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
- Knowledge of appraisal principles, practices, regulations and procedures related to AIR and FHA Appraiser Independence.
- Skill in problem solving issues as they arise and escalating them to management when necessary.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word.
Responsibilities
- Appraisal ordering by rotation for Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA appraisals according to AIR and FHA Appraiser Independence regulations
- Maintain Appraiser roster
- Process completed appraisal reports according to AIR, ECOA and FHA Appraiser Independence regulations.
- Retrieve FHA case assignments for FHA loans according to FHA guidelines
- Coordinate with branches on any appraisal issues related to investor guidelines or exclusionary lists.
- Act as liaison between our branches and the appraisers, related to any value reconsideration requests or appraisal corrections.
