About The Position

We’re looking for Applied Scientists to turn raw data across Coframe-managed surfaces into decisions, measurable lift and insights. This role sits at the intersection of reinforcement learning, experimentation and ranking/personalization. Your strategies and models will generate lift (though revenue for customers) without any humans in the loop. At Coframe, we are building a future where user and agent interfaces can adapt, evolve, and personalize themselves. We are a primarily in-person company based in San Francisco. We are well-capitalized with backing from Khosla Ventures, Nat Friedman, the founder of Android, and others. We are generating revenue, growing rapidly, and trusted by companies you definitely know. Our team is small and talent-dense, consisting of competitive programmers, former founders (our founder previously co-founded a unicorn), and AI researchers from top institutions who have created a few of the most popular OSS code generation projects.

Requirements

built production machine learning systems end to end
strong statistics fundamentals and practical judgment with real-world data
experience with ranking, optimization, personalization, bandits, or recommendation systems
great communication skills to explain complex technical problems and solutions to the rest of the team and to understand the real need and pain of the business we serve.
worked in growth or conversion teams before

Responsibilities

convert product problems into ML problems
build systems that optimize conversion, engagement, and revenue using various strategies
build simulation and evaluation frameworks for such systems
develop experimentation, causal inference, and measurement frameworks
build models for personalization, ranking, targeting, and allocation
detect opportunities for automated gains across customer programs, analyze performance of existing systems
build single optimization system across multiple product lines
