Applied Computer Vision Engineer

SPREEAI•San Francisco, CA
•$145,000 - $180,000•Hybrid

About The Position

SPREEAI builds AI virtual try-on technology that fashion brands embed in their websites and apps. The Applied Computer Vision Engineer owns the computer vision pipelines that determine whether people and garments are correctly interpreted, from preprocessing through evaluation, and keeps those pipelines reliable in production. The role focuses on preprocessing, input quality, model benchmarking and integration, dataset evaluation, and moving research into dependable daily pipelines. The position is hybrid in San Francisco.

Requirements

  • Hands-on production experience in applied computer vision using Python and PyTorch.
  • Experience with segmentation or pose estimation.
  • A record of shipping pipelines, rather than working only in research.
  • Comfort owning data quality and evaluation, not just model training.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain virtual try-on preprocessing pipelines for segmentation, pose estimation, human parsing, and body mapping.
  • Validate and standardize inputs so downstream models receive clean, consistent data.
  • Benchmark and integrate new computer vision models, measuring performance on internal evaluation datasets.
  • Run dataset quality checks and address the failures they identify.
  • Work with ML scientists to move research into pipelines that run every day.
  • Maintain reliable computer vision pipelines in production.

Benefits

  • Real ownership on a small team, with pipelines running in production for brand partners.
  • Opportunity to work on visible challenges involving accurate try-on across a wide range of people and garments.
