About The Position

BJAK is seeking applied AI engineers to build AI-native systems for its AI Neobank app. This is a hands-on role focused on using AI to automate real workflows, improve products, reduce manual work, and simplify financial services for users and teams. BJAK, founded in 2019, is the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia and is expanding into other financial services. They are a global company with diverse teams who are passionate about building next-generation products and redefining financial applications.

Requirements

• Hands-on engineering ability, not just AI strategy or management experience.
• Experience building AI agents, LLM apps, RAG systems, automation workflows, copilots, or AI-enabled tools.
• Strong coding ability in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar practical stack.
• Good judgment on what should be automated and what should not.
• Ability to ship working systems, test quality, and improve reliability over time.
• Strong English communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Fintech, banking, support automation, risk, KYC, fraud, CRM, or operations automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents, workflows, tools, and automations to solve customer, product, and operations problems.
• Apply LLMs, retrieval, tool calling, evaluations, guardrails, and automation to financial workflows.
• Create AI-assisted experiences for onboarding, support, KYC, risk review, CRM, operations, document handling, and product intelligence.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify valuable projects, build them quickly, and iterate in production.
• Design solutions considering accuracy, hallucination risk, latency, cost, security, compliance, and user trust.
• Transform manual processes into scalable, reliable AI-enabled systems.
