The Applications Support Analyst Senior identifies, maps, measures, analyzes, and improves clinical and business processes, addressing moderate to complex problems and requirements for assigned applications. This role performs current and future workflow analysis, mapping critical business processes using industry standards and best practices. The analyst develops test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate performance of clinical/business functions, conducting effective unit, integration, and end-user acceptance testing. They facilitate clinical/business practice processes for successful software transitions and system utilization, identifying and implementing opportunities for clinical application product development, optimization, and technical improvements. In collaboration with IT, they translate user requirements into functional design specifications, ensure accurate data maintenance, and review the technological impact of business requirements. The role guides and advises on processes and issue resolution, serving as a mentor to train and develop other application support staff. They develop and maintain process documentation, including workflows, requirements, specifications, and troubleshooting guidelines, and complete change and quality control documentation. The analyst reviews data integrity and audits reports to identify and resolve potential issues, analyzing opportunities for system process improvements. They develop and deliver end-user training on system capabilities and functionalities, evaluate training effectiveness, and consult with providers, leadership, and clinicians to identify and resolve issues related to clinical equipment, applications, and functionality. The role also creates project timelines and develops plans to ensure successful project completion within deadlines, potentially coordinating the activities of other project team members.
