About The Position

The Software Developer performs advanced software engineering and mobile application development to support state agency technology solutions. This role is responsible for studying business needs, gathering requirements, and designing, coding, testing, and maintaining full-stack web and mobile applications. The developer leverages C# .NET, Blazor, SQL Server, Oracle, and mobile frameworks (such as .NET Core 9.0 and DevExpress) to build secure, responsive, and high-performance applications with integrated payment processing features.

Requirements

4 or more years of experience developing full-stack web applications and client/server software solutions.
4 or more years of experience performing root cause analysis, debugging, and issue resolution for complex software systems.
4 or more years of hands-on experience programming with C# .NET, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server.
3 or more years of experience working within Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) team environments.
3 or more years of experience in cross-functional collaboration, requirements gathering, and presenting software demonstrations to stakeholders for design approvals.
2 or more years of experience utilizing project management and issue tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
1 or more years of hands-on experience programming with C# .NET Blazor.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex software anomalies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to lead live application demonstrations and explain technical solutions to business users.
Highly collaborative team player with a customer-focused approach to software development.
Ability to work independently to investigate problems and deliver clean, secure, and maintainable code.

Nice To Haves

2 or more years of experience porting legacy codebases (such as Java or Windows Forms) to C# .NET Blazor.
2 or more years of experience implementing responsive web design techniques and frameworks.
2 or more years of experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliance standards.
1 or more years of experience supporting public sector or state government applications.

Responsibilities

Design, write, test, debug, and document complex web-based and client/server applications using C# .NET, Blazor, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
Develop mobile applications using Visual Studio, .NET Core 9.0, and DevExpress tools, implementing secure payment acceptance functionality.
Build and optimize backend database routines, complex queries, and stored procedures across SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Collaborate with systems analysts, solution architects, and business stakeholders to gather and validate technical requirements.
Study system flows, data usage, and operational workflows to research, design, and model software solutions.
Present live, in-person application change demonstrations to customers and stakeholders for design approval.
Support enterprise software through root cause analysis, diagnostic troubleshooting, and code modifications to resolve issues.
Utilize Agile SDLC methodologies, tracking development tasks, user stories, and defects within Azure DevOps or Jira.
Recommend and implement continuous process improvements for software development life cycle activities.
