About The Position

Applications Principal Engineer needed by STMicroelectronics, Inc. to provide Technical support to high revenue customers for the STM32MP MPU products. Support Product Marketing with Preselection Technical queries. Develop specific applications expertise and training to other team members as defined by AME regional team. Create reusable application collateral such as Wiki's, example code, and how to videos for mass market promotions and support. Provide visibility to management on the customer technical activity and status visibility assigned programs. Provide support on embedded applications including AI, Graphics, Security, Industrial embedded applications. Support customers on product development using the STM32Cube Ecosystem such as STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE, STEdgeAI and STM32CubeProgrammer. 20% domestic and international travel required.

Requirements

Composing, deploying and debugging projects using graphics frameworks such as QT, LVGL, Flutter, EmbeddedWizard or TouchGFX
Performing AI model optimization and participating in the deployment process for various AI model topologies
Fluency in build environments such as CMake, Make, and Ninja
Generating custom Linux distributions utilizing Yocto
Performing GDB-based debugging of the boot chain as well as the Linux kernel and Cortex-M co-processor
Utilizing built-in Linux kernel debug tools
Utilizing tools providing trace points (kernel static tracing, statically placed at logical places in the kernel), kprobes (kernel dynamic tracing) and uprobes (dynamic user-level tracing)
Implementing power management and supply provided by the PMIC to compose a complete system
Performing a detailed schematic review as well as PCB layout
Performing proper use of test equipment such as an oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power supply and signal generator
