Applications Engineering Intern
About The Position
Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available. Qorvo’s Applications Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, Connectivity and Sensors and Global Operations business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS, or MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Minimum GPA of 3.3
- Desire for a career related to RF Engineering
- Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience
- Familiarity with conducting circuit simulations and working in a lab environment
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, C#
- Ability to summarize and present in an effective manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Responsibilities
- Develop automated testing solutions with RF instruments
- RF measurements of device characteristics related to gain, noise, and linearity
- Analyzing and summarizing measurement data
- Developing customer-centric presentations based on measured data
- Comparing performance characteristics of our parts to competitor parts
- Simulating and designing RF matching networks
- Generating marketing collateral including datasheets or application notes
- Reviewing and updating internal and customer product specifications
- Designing RF system level solutions to support industry applications
Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr- $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location)
