A well-established manufacturer and building automation provider is hiring an experienced Applications Engineer to support expanding operations in Knoxville, TN. This position covers the full lifecycle of BAS projects—from design and documentation to parts procurement, field coordination, and technical support. Requirements

• Background as an Applications Engineer or similar role in building automation
• Proficient in designing BAS system architecture using AutoCAD or MS Visio
• Experience programming or updating Tridium-based graphical user interfaces
• Skilled in developing Sequences of Operation and building detailed BOMs
• Strong coordination skills for parts ordering, vendor communication, and procurement
• Solid troubleshooting abilities with basic programming knowledge
• Comfortable performing site visits and job walks to verify project requirements
• Collaborative team player capable of supporting technicians, programmers, and sales staff

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and manage BAS layouts and automation workflows
• Develop and configure Tridium front-end graphics and applications
• Create SOOs, BOMs, and comprehensive submittal packages for assigned projects
• Handle parts ordering, vendor coordination, and material tracking
• Conduct field walk-throughs for project scoping and technical clarification
• Deliver accurate design documentation on schedule
• Provide engineering support to internal installation, programming, and sales teams
