Applications Engineer
About The Position
Sentinel Fluid Controls, part of Applied Fluid Power, is seeking an Applications Engineer to work with the technical sales team and customers to address fluid power and electrification needs. The role contributes directly to customer satisfaction, retention, and sales results. It involves specifying customer needs, preparing quotes, presenting solutions, designing systems, and overseeing their build. The team provides personalized consulting and training to strengthen its capabilities, and the position offers ongoing product and industry training along with opportunities for career growth and personal development.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in technical fluid power.
- Strong leadership and customer relations skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
- Motivation to use and enhance overall skills and welcome challenges, including technical research.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Ability to understand and create hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and layout drawings.
Responsibilities
- Interact with the technical sales team and customers to provide solutions for fluid power and electrification needs.
- Specify customer needs, prepare quotes, and present, design, and oversee the building of solutions.
- Contribute to the company's electrification agenda.
- Participate in technical research and develop solutions to customer challenges.
