About The Position

This role involves preparing quotations for customers, assisting with inquiries regarding order status, ship methods, tracking numbers, freight charges, pricing, and availability. The Applications Engineer will analyze business opportunities, facilitate project quotation requests, and ensure processes are executed correctly. This position requires being a technical resource, solving problems, and demonstrating a desire for growth into a larger role. Intermediate data entry skills and proficiency in Word and Excel are necessary, along with the ability to solve routine and complex problems using provided information or innovative thinking, with or without supervision. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Intermediate data entry skills.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel software.
  • Able to solve routine and complex problems using information sources provided, or by conceptual and innovative thinking, with or without supervision.
  • Knowledge of T&C are necessary.
  • 2-4 years technical customer service experience in manufacturing support.
  • Has a sound, in-depth understanding of concepts and principles in customer service.
  • Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Self-starter, organized, thorough and meticulous, able to work under pressure.
  • Experience in a technical environment.
  • Able to plan work and commit to meeting deadlines.
  • Dedicated to high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, and Access software.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years’ relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Valve, regulator, fluid mechanics/control related coursework/education will be additional qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares verbal and written quotations for domestic and international customers and representatives via telephone, fax, and email.
  • Assists customer inquiries on order status, ship methods, tracking numbers, freight charges, pricing and availability.
  • Analyses business opportunities facilitate requests for project quotations and ensures that processes are is correctly executed, according to customer request.
  • Be a technical resource and have the organizational agility to find answers and solve problems.
  • Has a desire and ambition to grow into a larger role of responsibility.
  • Finalizes negotiation with customers.
  • Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer's satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Acts as Customers’ advocate within the organization and is accountable for Customer Satisfaction.
  • Document sales and marketing activities along with tracking of opportunities.
