About The Position

The Applications Engineer-Valves will be responsible for preparing quotations, assisting customer inquiries, analyzing business opportunities, and acting as a technical resource. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, intermediate data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. The ideal candidate will have a desire to grow into a larger role of responsibility and be able to solve complex problems with or without supervision. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Intermediate data entry skills and knowledge of Word and Excel software.
  • Able to solve routine and complex problems using information sources provided, or by conceptual and innovative thinking, with or without supervision.
  • Finalizes negotiation with customers. Knowledge of T&C are necessary.
  • Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer's satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Has 2-4 years technical customer service experience in manufacturing support.
  • Has a sound, in-depth understanding of concepts and principles in customer service.
  • Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Self-starter, organized, thorough and meticulous, able to work under pressure.
  • Experience in a technical environment.
  • Able to plan work and commit to meeting deadlines.
  • Dedicated to high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, and Access software.
  • U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Valve, regulator, fluid mechanics/control related coursework/education will be additional qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares verbal and written quotations for domestic and international customers and representatives via telephone, fax, and email.
  • Assists customer inquiries on order status, ship methods, tracking numbers, freight charges, pricing and availability.
  • Analyses business opportunities facilitate requests for project quotations and ensures that processes are is correctly executed, according to customer request.
  • Be a technical resource and have the organizational agility to find answers and solve problems.
  • Has a desire and ambition to grow into a larger role of responsibility.
  • Document sales and marketing activities along with tracking of opportunities.
  • Acts as Customers’ advocate within the organization and is accountable for Customer Satisfaction.
