Summary – basic function of the role The Applications Engineer is an operations‑aligned technical role responsible for translating customer requirements into executable, safe, and efficient machining and field service solutions. The role owns application definition from technical scoping through execution readiness, ensuring solutions are manufacturable, repeatable, and aligned with operational capabilities, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position serves as the technical bridge between Operations, Engineering, Field Services, and Commercial, with primary accountability for application feasibility, execution planning, risk mitigation, and technical handover to Operations. While the role supports pre‑sales activities, its core responsibility is ensuring operational readiness and successful delivery of engineered solutions.
