Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, Business or a closely related field
  • Two years of experience in software programming
  • Ability to communicate with internal and/or external business partners in order to obtain and/or provide information on technical concepts.
  • Ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.
  • Very high level of computer skills in order to use various software packages as well as a familiarity with hardware configuration.
  • Proficient in MS Office Tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the design, development, and testing of software applications. Resolves day-to-day incidents to assure the integrity of the services being provided.
  • Consumes, transforms, and updates data between two or more systems using Integration software.
  • Consults with business partners to create documentation relating to program definition, development, and business requirements. Documentation includes software objectives, deliverables, and end-user specifications.
  • Writes, translates, and codes software scripts, programs, and applications according to specifications and end-user requirements.
  • Designs, runs, and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors and isolating areas for improvement. Supports the smooth maintenance of the system and provides data to end-users in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and writes reports for management and/or team members on the status of assignments.
  • Trains end-users to operate new or modified programs.
  • Conducts research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of development efforts.
  • Works with external vendors to assure efficient implementation of software products or systems.
  • Keeps abreast of new and changing technological advances in program languages, utilities, tools, and client/server technology to assure achievement of ETL/Development of reports, so users can make proper decisions.
  • Follows IT procedures and naming conventions guidance. Also provides proper documentation as required by IT standards.
