About The Position

The Applications Developer I will support configuration and operation of all aspects of the FASTDS-VS® Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) application, which includes six modules and additional subsystems. The role includes requirements gathering and analysis, application and reference-table configuration, user access and permissions setup, development for change requests, scripting, software debugging, source control, application testing, preparation of implementation specifications, and production application support. The candidate should understand both traditional and Agile software development methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; preferred fields include Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or Mathematics, but these fields are not required.
• Two years of experience with a SQL database.
• Two years of experience with object-oriented development, such as .NET, Java, C#, or VB.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices.
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
• Must comply with Georgia tax obligations; candidates with overdue and unpaid taxes or any felony convictions will not be offered the position or hired.
• Must undergo fingerprinting and a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with web services.
• Familiarity with APIs.
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of SQL stored procedures.
