About The Position

The Epic Application Analyst II is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting the clinical, financial, or administrative Epic modules within their area of support. This role oversees practices and processes to ensure the integrity, safety, and availability of all data and applications, supporting the goals and objectives of the customer as well as the business needs of Hoag. The analyst collaborates with key stakeholders, end users, and other members of the business teams to optimize system configuration, function, and access, and recommends technology solutions based on business needs. A strong understanding of the organization’s policies, procedures, and business operations is essential. The analyst independently manages problem tickets and service requests, customer requests for system changes, data retrieval requests, system performance problems, and optimization opportunities, participating in their timely resolution. They troubleshoot and resolve highly complex application errors and other system issues. The role actively leads and takes ownership for the build and maintenance of various system dictionaries, profiles, tables, and other configuration points. Identifying system enhancement requests and working with the team to implement them is also a key responsibility. The analyst independently manages small to medium-sized optimization requests, demonstrating the capacity to take on progressively larger and more complex requests, and coordinates with the vendor as appropriate. Testing the system, including any configurations, customizations, and new releases, prior to production implementation is crucial. The analyst works with end-users to assist with the design and testing of system reports and communicates changes to end users and other staff as applicable. They participate as a team member in various projects, preparing for and participating in system design, validation, and/or remediation sessions. Understanding data flow and supporting/developing interface files are also part of the role. Developing and maintaining documentation (knowledge base articles) outlining standard operating and support procedures is required. All functions are performed with minimal supervision.
