About The Position

A premier New Jersey-based law firm is seeking a skilled IT Application & Systems Support (Level III) professional to join their Essex County office. This role is designed for an experienced support technician who combines expert-level technical troubleshooting with systems administration responsibilities within the Legal industry. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional who enjoys working directly with employees, onboarding new technologies, and optimizing workflows to increase firm-wide productivity. You will support a robust technology stack—including infrastructure, identity management, and networking—ensuring stability and security across all offices and remote environments.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure support (Professional Services or Legal environment preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Networking: Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Tools: Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell/Python) and endpoint/patch management systems.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: Industry certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, Microsoft SC-200/MD-102, or CCNA) are a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide high-level technical support via phone, email, and in-person; troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues using advanced diagnostics.
  • Systems Administration: Administer Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID; manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access controls.
  • M365 Management: Support Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Network & Infrastructure: Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking; maintain print servers and enterprise printing environments.
  • Deployment & Maintenance: Conduct computer imaging and configuration for new hires; manage patch deployment across the fleet of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Process Improvement: Audit and augment departmental workflows via automation (PowerShell/Python) and new technology deployments.
  • Security & Compliance: Support the implementation of security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and maintain detailed IT documentation.

Benefits
