About The Position

The Application Systems Manager manages the information technology services for assigned Epic application(s) across the health system. Responsible for management, maintenance, upgrade and enhancement of the assigned application such that they meet performance and availability standards set for them. The Manager, IT Applications role is responsible for leveraging the talent of people, implementing application and technical solutions, and identifying best practice standards to meet the needs of the organization. Responsible for managing the human resource processes for the staff, including justification requests for new positions, filling vacancies and advancement. Delegates work and assuming responsibility for the outcomes of self and others. Serves as a partner to build, grow, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across health system departments. Responsible for change management and planning IT services in conjunction with departmental leadership to ensure that systems and services meet business and operational needs. Ensure the development and implementation of systems which support the effective and efficient flow of patient information across the system and maximize financial and clinical performance. Responsible for developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing, and integrating best practices and technology standards across the organization. Manages projects, system objectives and/or multiple departments establishing detailed work plans and priorities. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Leads the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Using a solid business and financial acumen, plans and administers operational and capital budget for applications/business units supported.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant experience with Epic Ambulatory and Epic Ambulatory certification required
