About The Position

The Application Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring application systems are stable, secure, and optimized for business needs. This role involves translating business requirements into effective technical solutions, supporting growth by maintaining scalable and efficient systems, and contributing to continuous improvement through technology recommendations and enhancements. The objective is to deliver high-quality, well-documented, and sustainable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in information technology or a related role.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, client-server environments, and application development.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems and network administration.
  • Experience with application development tools and general IT infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced technical and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making aligned with company policies and standards.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system-level support for multi-user operating systems, software, hardware, and networks.
  • Analyze, maintain, and enhance programming systems supporting business applications.
  • Gather and define business requirements and design solutions aligned to user needs.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with minimal supervision.
  • Test, debug, document, and implement new or modified applications and systems.
  • Support system performance, reliability, and issue resolution across the organization.
  • Participate in cross-functional efforts to ensure technology supports operational goals.
  • Maintain flexibility to support business needs, including occasional schedule adjustments.
  • Evaluate and recommend short- and long-term technology solutions aligned with company strategy.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within IT and across the business.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
