About The Position

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Application Systems Administrator (Multiple openings) in Hopkins, MN. This role supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of purchased applications or application frameworks. It involves testing and installing new software releases and application system upgrades, and maintaining a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library. The position also participates in application system problem resolution by collaborating with application developers, vendors, and internal infrastructure team members. Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and upgrading IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) components on OpenShift or other supported platforms, supporting traditional IBM BAW and IBM Cloudpak for Business Automation, and migrating BPM applications from VMs to the Cloud (ARO). The role requires close collaboration with development and business process teams for application deployments and configuration changes, maintaining system documentation, and coordinating with IBM support for issue resolution and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
  • 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) systems administration experience
  • 24 months of experience with Installing, configuring, upgrading, and supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation components (IBM BAW, IBM ODM, IBM Process Mining)
  • 24 months of experience using Kubernetes, OpenShift, Bash, Python, PL/SQL, SQL Server, JIRA, and Confluence
  • 24 months of experience migrating BPM applications from VMs to the Cloud
  • 24 months of experience working with application performance management (APM) tools including AppD, Splunk, IBM Instana, and DataDog
  • 24 months of experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines develop Terraform, Ansible, Python, and shell scripting to build Azure ARO clusters and integrate ARO security controls
  • Employer will accept experience gained concurrently

Responsibilities
