About The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR): The Indiana Department of Revenue team is comprised of over 700 staff that are located in 13 locations across the state of Indiana. We work collaboratively with the Indiana Governor's office, the General Assembly, state agencies, individuals, business owners, corporations, tax practitioners, and a variety of tax program participants to administer Indiana's tax laws. DOR administers over 65 tax types and annually processes nearly $21 billion of tax revenue. Our mission is to serve Indiana by administering tax laws in a fair, secure, and efficient manner. Role Overview: As an Application System Developer you will be on a team responsible for continued maintenance on critical Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) systems utilized by internal employees and external Indiana taxpayers. The developer is responsible for configuring and modifying commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products by applying C# and SQL technologies within the COTS product. Tasks will require the developer to accurately diagnose system errors, apply changes via coding and configuration, and test changes for quality assurance using defined standards and methodologies. All candidates should have knowledge and experience in at least one object-oriented programming language, and experience in SQL/SSMS is preferred. Candidates with prior experience configuring GenTax products are preferred.
