About The Position

The successful candidate will provide advanced support for mission-critical, multi-user integration applications. This includes investigating and resolving application and transaction issues, assessing the impact of upgrades, patches, and new releases, and contributing to implementation planning for both standalone and integrated systems. In this role, you will design and develop custom solutions, maintain and support both internally developed and vendor-supplied applications, and create comprehensive technical documentation. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure reliable application performance. Responsibilities also include proactively monitoring production environments, diagnosing system issues, and implementing enhancements that improve performance, stability, and overall system reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, a solid understanding of IT systems architecture, and a commitment to delivering high-quality technical solutions that support patient care and business operations. Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required. As part of a 24/7 support model, support analysts are expected to respond to priority service disruptions outside of regular business hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst or a similar role within an integrated support environment.
  • Experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale applications, including leading root cause analysis and problem-resolution activities.
  • Proficiency with programming and development technologies including Java Server Faces, JavaEE (Jakarta EE), and Spring Boot, and/or .NET.
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript, CSS, and HTTP, with experience developing and supporting modern web applications.
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as managing system integrations, interfaces, and interconnected applications.
  • Advanced understanding of Oracle database concepts, relational data modeling, SQL/PLSQL scripting, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with requirements analysis, solution design, code reviews, revision control, unit testing, change management practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong technical, analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with healthcare technology, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, HL7/FHIR integrations, React or Svelte would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement computer application code of moderate to high complexity
  • Ensure adherence to eHealth architecture, development standards, and guidelines
  • Investigate problems; determine solution options, make required code modifications, implement and test changes
  • Provide appropriate assistance and training for peers and client inquiries.
  • Monitor and maintain existing applications, providing ongoing support and enhancements
  • Collaborate with various technology departments to complete required maintenance
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and work standards
  • Handle sensitive and personal information with honesty, discretion and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality and trust
  • Deliver consistent, accurate, and thorough work by being service-focused, dependable, and disciplined in meeting the needs of clients, coworkers, and organizational goals
