About The Position

The Application Review Specialist manages and maintains application, student, and education data within the CRM, student information system, and document imaging system, applying a strong understanding of business and technical requirements to support accurate and efficient application processing. Core responsibilities include high-volume data entry, as well as validation and auditing of applicant information, to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across Slate, Perceptive, and PeopleSoft. The specialist manages and supports data imports and exports for all application systems and troubleshoots data and file-processing issues. They work collaboratively with processing staff to monitor the effectiveness of application workflows, recommend improvements that enhance process efficiency and data quality, and develop and maintain detailed standard operating procedures. In addition, this position reviews and evaluates admission applications and provides frontline support for visitors, phone calls, and shared email. The specialist works independently with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, thinks logically, and exercises sound judgment. This role requires strong technical proficiency with student information systems, document imaging platforms, and CRMs; comfort working with large datasets and system-generated reports; and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. The position works under general supervision, reports to admissions leadership, supports overall office and enrollment goals, and is fully in person (100%).

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Slate (CRM), Perceptive (document imaging), and/or PeopleSoft (student information system)
  • Experience developing or maintaining documentation, standard operating procedures, or process guides.
  • Demonstrated experience with data entry, data validation, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience troubleshooting data issues, file-processing errors, and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with reporting, data auditing, or quality assurance in an information systems environment.
  • Understand and interpret policy pertaining to application processing.
  • Previous experience in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities

  • Counsels prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities
  • Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications according to established policies and procedures
  • Schedules logistics, secures resources, and attend events to promote the Institution
