About The Position

Provides educational instruction for healthcare applications and assists with identifying the training needs of the identified users of systems and EMR applications. Provides administrative support, through the maintenance of the training database defined to support clinical systems record needs. Assists with the development of training curriculum and training materials for medical groups. Trains physicians and staff in the use of the EMR application and other systems. Evaluates and documents work flows to ensure the most efficient and effective use of the system.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Skill in interpersonal communication to effectively interact with users on various software and non technical problems
• Skill in written communication to compose materials for end users
• Knowledge and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, e-mail, and scheduling applications
• Ability to acquire additional skills if necessary
• Maintains confidentiality of employee, patient, and financial records
• Ability to present course materials in classroom and one-on-one environments using adult learning techniques
• Ability to work well within a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Clinical designation (CMA, LPN, RN) preferred
• Two to three years of individual or group training and clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred
