This position assists with developing timely responses to technical support questions for design-oriented bridge finite element analysis software and deep foundation analysis software. Responsibilities include populating technical engineering responses, coordinating with licensing personnel, holding screenshare sessions to assist end-users, and reporting feature requests or potential software bugs to senior programmers/engineers. The role also involves formulating, executing, and documenting verification cases for the software, utilizing manual calculation methods, design-oriented analysis software, and/or general-purpose finite element analysis software. Additionally, the position will enhance and maintain internal software applications that perform verification tasks, integrate model files, and add/modify features based on input from engineers. Research and development activities related to nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA), soil-structure interaction, and other institute-scope topics are also part of the role, including assisting with numerical studies and contributing to technical reports and publications. The role further includes enhancing and maintaining a C# and XSL-based application for rendering analysis results into HTML reports, performing coding tasks, and supporting BSI operations through various duties such as coordinating newsletters, creating software installation packages, maintaining user documentation, website support, and software quality assurance.
