About The Position

The scope of the proposed services will include creating and managing the release calendar, coordinating release schedules across concurrent projects, and defining and enforcing release management processes. This includes release readiness criteria, approval gates, and rollback plans. The role involves partnering with development, QA, and UAT teams to confirm release scope, sequencing, and dependencies, and leading release planning and go/no-go meetings. The Application Program Manager/Specialist will coordinate deployment activities across environments and maintain release documentation. They will also identify and mitigate release risks, support post-release monitoring, and continuously refine release management practices.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in release management, deployment coordination, or a related delivery role within software implementation or technology consulting environments.
Bachelor's degree.
ITIL certification.

Nice To Haves

Proven understanding of SDLC, environment management, and change control processes.
Experience with release or work-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and business teams under time pressure.
Experience managing multiple release schedules simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
Experience working with federal or state government agencies.

Coordinate deployment activities across environments, including development, test, staging, and production, with technical teams.
Maintain release documentation, including release notes, change logs, and post-release reports.
Identify and mitigate release risks, escalating issues that could affect timelines or client commitments.
Support post-release monitoring and coordinate the quick resolution of any issues that surface after go-live.
Continuously refine release management practices and templates to improve consistency across engagements.
