About The Position

The Application Platform Cloud Solutions Engineer is a senior, independent technology leader in Citi’s multi-year Services Technology Modernization/Transformation program. The program is modernizing core platforms by migrating them to an on-premises OpenShift environment and later to public cloud, while moving from legacy monolithic systems toward resilient, cloud-native microservices. The role defines and engineers target-state technical architecture, capabilities, processes, data flows, controls, and connectivity across private-cloud and public-cloud environments. The position leads architecture for critical domains across Payments, Trade & Working Capital, Core Accounts, Digital Technology, and Issuer and Investor Services. It guides application decomposition and modernization, designs secure and resilient connections among on-premises applications, clients, market-data providers, and payment networks, and develops blueprints aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements. The role also advances reconciliation and data-integrity controls, DevSecOps, and reliability practices, and collaborates with senior business and technology stakeholders. It reports to the Infra and Platform Lead and leads and mentors subject-matter experts.
