About The Position

Serves as senior lead in Securities Finance initiatives, working on new technologies and innovative solutions for the business. Analyzes, designs, develops software applications to support Enhanced Custody business unit. Controls and/or provides solutions to single and/or multiple organizations, with minimal management guidance. As Application Manager – Vice President you will Participate in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design following the Agile SDLC. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand the data sources and operational processes, and data dependencies. Challenge status quo, advocate for change as applicable. Design and develop scalable and robust software application leveraging ReactJS, Springboot Java, and SQL on AWS environment, ensuring alignment with business,s goals and industry best practices. Manage application developers and analysts across different geographies in achieving implementation milestones. This position requires hands-on coding responsibility and coaching of junior staff. Document and interact with business and technology stake holders/team members as necessary. Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for adopting new tools and technologies to improve our technology stack. Develop oneself into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Technical and Functional domain areas.

Requirements

  • Experienced, highly skilled in the following technologies as a design lead and developer - Any programming language such as Java, Python
  • Messaging such as MQ, Kafka
  • Database as Oracle
  • Experience with AWS concepts and deployments.
  • End to end understanding of software architecture, design, development and implementation.
  • Bachelors with 10-15 years in computer Science or equivalent is required.
  • Has developed specialist knowledge/expertise in one or more than one area.
  • Applies knowledge/skills to a range of standard and moderately complex activities.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing, reviewing technology documents including user guides.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development is preferred.
  • Continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment experience.
  • Financial services/mutual fund/Securities industry a plus.
  • Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision/guidance.
