About The Position

Matrix Global Services is seeking an experienced Application Integration Architect with deep expertise in the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to lead enterprise integration initiatives across our growing client portfolio. The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect and trusted advisor who can design scalable integration architectures, establish API governance frameworks, and guide clients through complex digital transformation programs. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, product teams, application owners, and engineering teams to connect enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and data ecosystems through modern API-led architectures. This is a highly visible, client-facing role that combines technical leadership, solution architecture, delivery oversight, and strategic consulting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise integration, middleware, or solution architecture roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.
  • Strong expertise with: Mule 4 Runtime, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave 2.0, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint Exchange.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale integration programs involving multiple business systems and platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of: REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML and JSON transformations, Event-driven architectures, Asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Experience working with messaging and streaming technologies such as: JMS, Kafka, AMQP, Event brokers.
  • Strong understanding of API security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and API Gateway policies.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven.
  • Ability to create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, integration flow designs, and executive presentations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture solutions.
  • Strong consulting and client-facing experience.
  • Proven ability to lead distributed technical teams and multiple concurrent engagements.

  • Experience integrating with: Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures utilizing: Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, AWS EventBridge, MuleSoft AsyncAPI capabilities.
  • Exposure to alternative integration platforms such as: Azure Integration Services, Boomi, Informatica, Workato.
  • Experience integrating modern data platforms including: Databricks, Snowflake, Dataiku, Azure Synapse.
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience delivering enterprise technology engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Define API-led connectivity strategies utilizing Experience, Process, and System APIs.
  • Architect integrations across ERP, CRM, HRIS, ITSM, data platforms, and custom applications.
  • Establish enterprise integration standards, patterns, and governance frameworks.
  • Define deployment architectures across CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient integration solutions supporting business-critical workloads.
  • Define API lifecycle management standards, including versioning, documentation, security, and monitoring.
  • Establish governance policies for API design, error handling, authentication, authorization, and SLA management.
  • Create API specifications using RAML, OpenAPI (Swagger), and MuleSoft best practices.
  • Drive API reuse and standardization through Anypoint Exchange and reusable integration assets.
  • Implement enterprise security frameworks including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and mutual TLS.
  • Lead client discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and solution design sessions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable integration architectures and implementation roadmaps.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor for integration strategy and platform modernization initiatives.
  • Present architectural recommendations and solution approaches to executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Lead technical design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Oversee delivery teams throughout design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support phases.
  • Support pre-sales initiatives, solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development.
  • Contribute to the development of integration accelerators, reusable assets, and best practices.
  • Mentor MuleSoft developers and junior architects.
  • Lead internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and technical workshops.
  • Stay current on MuleSoft product innovations, Salesforce ecosystem updates, and emerging integration trends.
