About The Position

This full-time position is responsible for the full life-cycle application development utilizing IT methodologies. The role involves analyzing moderately complex business problems, constructing practical solutions, and providing recommendations for application integration and system improvement. The analyst will translate conceptual designs into detailed application interface specifications, provide input into project timelines, and ensure successful project completion within deadlines. A key responsibility is developing and executing detailed test plans for unit, regression, integration, and stress testing. The position also requires keeping stakeholders informed of project status and issues, constructing necessary documentation for change control, maintenance, and support of application interfaces, and managing less complex projects independently. Participation in a 24x7 production support "on call" rotation is mandatory, with the expectation to independently resolve the majority of issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in Application integration utilizing interface engine technology.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standard message formats. Examples include: HL/7, X12, FHIR or XML.
  • Full life-cycle application development utilizing IT methodologies.
  • Programming language examples include: Java, COBOL, TCL, CCL or Perl.
  • Experience in operating systems (i.e. Unix), communication protocols (TCP/IP, FTP), relational database management or network management.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Has the ability to explain technical terminology in a non-technical manner that is understandable to the customer.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve both technical and process related issues.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must have functional vision and ability to use a computer the majority of the day.
  • Bridges certification is required.
  • Team members will obtain within 6 months and maintain annual educational requirements for EPIC certification(s) as required by department.
