About The Position

The Application Engineering Technical Lead provides senior-level IT technical leadership, directing technology strategy across platforms and teams while delivering user-centric full-stack solutions and managing scalable backend integration. The role leads application architecture, solution design, development, integration, deployment, and production support across the software development lifecycle. It evaluates technology options, approves architectural decisions, and ensures deliverables meet functional, performance, reliability, and security requirements.

The role resolves complex technical issues through troubleshooting and root cause analysis, partners with business stakeholders and technical teams to define solution strategies, and promotes engineering standards and modern delivery practices. It also mentors engineers, maintains architecture and implementation documentation, and drives continuous improvement in software quality, automated testing, observability, development processes, and engineering tools.

The position designs and reviews reusable full-stack solutions, collaborates with UI/UX and engineering teams, and architects data integrations across APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise platforms. It supports secure and efficient data flows, ensures compliance with enterprise technology, risk, and information security standards, and applies business-process knowledge to improve operational efficiency and controls. The role may also contribute to strategic initiatives, modernization programs, and other assigned projects.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in software development.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical lead role.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering, or a Master’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, and full-stack development across multiple platforms.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures and Node.js, TypeScript, ECS, Kubernetes, Kore.AI, Android, and iOS development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C, or JavaScript, with expertise in related frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical leadership for complex software, middleware, and cloud engineering initiatives across multiple platforms.
• Lead application architecture, solution design, development, integration, deployment, and production support across the software development lifecycle.
• Evaluate technology options, approve architectural decisions, and ensure technical deliverables meet functional, performance, reliability, and security requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, implement long-term corrective actions, and proactively mitigate technology risks.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and vendors to assess change impacts, define solution strategies, and communicate technical recommendations.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices, development standards, and modern delivery methodologies; mentor engineers and technical contributors.
• Create, review, and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in software quality, testing automation, observability, development processes, and engineering tools.
• Design, develop, and review reusable, testable, and maintainable full-stack solutions using modern frameworks, cloud-native technologies, and automated engineering practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, front-end, and backend engineering teams to deliver user experiences and scalable application architectures.
• Architect and manage data integrations across APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise platforms to support secure and efficient data flows.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise technology, risk, and information security standards and promote secure-by-design development practices.
• Apply knowledge of front-, middle-, and back-office business processes to design solutions that improve operational efficiency and support effective controls.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, modernization programs, and other projects as assigned.
