About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a(n) Application Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Managing the work assignments of the team in a fast-paced environment ensuring alignment with business priorities. Identifying, planning, recommending and driving the completion of technical programs including operational plans and tactics in support of the division strategic plan. Examples include the development of new customer applications, new product commercialization, customer education programs, etc. Energizing the work group by creating a climate which encourages innovation, risk taking, teamwork, and high productivity. Maintaining a strong operational knowledge of relevant technologies, products, customers and customers’ needs. Demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with multiple functions within the division and 3M. Ensuring safe laboratory conditions and practices through good housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and safety education. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in technical discipline (Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related) (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of application engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
