About The Position

Join our team as an Application Engineering Intern! In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in active safety and driver assistance technologies, including park assist, automated parking, collision avoidance, and blind spot detection. You will work closely with application engineers, system teams, and mechanical designers to assist with vehicle testing, component integration, and data analysis. Seeking a current student or recent graduate to start as soon as possible and work on a year-round basis.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field OR Recent Graduate.
Fundamental understanding of mechanical principles (static/dynamic forces) and basic vehicle dynamics.
Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and solid written/verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic exposure to programming or script writing is a plus.

Nice To Haves

Previous project or coursework exposure to active safety, driver assistance systems (ADAS), or automotive development.

Responsibilities

Assist with active safety testing on test tracks and setup test environments for project vehicles.
Support the team in reviewing system requirements, creating basic test cases, and performing log/trace analysis using standard industry tools.
Learn how sensors (ultrasonic, cameras) integrate into vehicles by shadow-reviewing mechanical packaging and assisting with ECU flashing and calibration setup.
Help draft test specifications, test reports, and configuration sheets while collaborating with domestic and global engineering teams.
