Application Engineer
About The Position
Join Baker Hughes Drill Bit Team, a leader in well construction and production, delivering innovative physical and digital solutions to improve efficiency, production, and maximize reservoir value. This role is responsible for identifying business growth opportunities through product development, collaborating with repair facilities to enhance product quality and margin delivery, and developing new products to improve drilling performance and market share. The Application Engineer will also provide technical support and application expertise to sales and operations teams, and work with customers to analyze and optimize drilling performance through technical presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Petroleum preferred) or similar degree
- 2 years in engineering role in the oil/gas industry
- 1 year minimum experience in Drill Bits
- Experience in delivering technical presentations to customers
Nice To Haves
- 5 years preferred in engineering role in the oil/gas industry
- 3 years preferred experience in Drill Bits
Responsibilities
- Identifying top opportunities for growing the business through product development
- Working with repair facilities to improve quality of products and margin delivery
- Development of new products to improve drilling performance, growing market share as well as driving a clear product strategy for the basin
- Providing/presenting technical support and application expertise to the sales and operations teams
- Working with customer to analyze and optimize drilling performance and provide clear solutions through technical presentations
